Assessments at Indy Parks, Indianapolis
Right on Schedule
Assessments of all 12 City of Indy Parks and restoration of Water Slides at three parks. (Painting and gel coating)
Project Need:
Indianapolis, Indiana, is home to 12 attractions known as Indy Parks. It’s a big job to keep track of cleaning and maintenance of all the structures in all the parks. Not to mention the uncertainties in budgeting.
The management know many of the slide coatings were peeling from previous restoration attempts. They needed to get it right this time. They knew who to call.
Project Description:
A PurePlay engineer inspected all Indy Park aquatic centers and water parks to assess the condition of each slide, tower and water play feature. The result was a comprehensive report that gave the city a top 10 list of immediate needs, as well as a schedule of repairs for the future.
Once the city knew what could be accomplished within the budget, PurePlay was contracted to restore water slides at three parks.
These slides were peeling and unsafe. PurePlay sand-blasted and removed the coatings and applied gel coat to the interior of the slides. After the gel coating was complete, the exterior was repainted to match.
Project Result:
As a result, the city of Indianapolis had two certainties: the budget was satisfied, and the residents were safe, sound and sliding their way to another memorable summer.
