Rockford SCS Treehouse Renovation and Re-Theme

Us and Theme: Magic Waters and The Pineapple Bucket

The SCS Treehouse was completely renovated and re-themed.

Project Need:
To the Magic Waters management, it looked hopeless. The park’s SCS structure was old and tired. Many of the interactives didn’t work. The wooden structures were falling apart. The theming was out of date.

Magic Waters wasn’t feeling very magical.

Project Description:
PurePlay sent an engineer to do an assessment on the structure, and a proposed renovation or replacement options. The park decided on a new theme: Tiki Island. Goodbye tired structure, hello island life!

PurePlay’s design team worked with the park manager to create the perfect final design. An artist’s rendering including fresh paint, bold colors, more slides with new gel coats and, best of all, a new splash bucket.

“PurePlay stripped our park down to the bare bones and re-themed the whole thing artistically, from the bucket to the hand-carved mascot,” said Garrett Jones, camp manager at Magic Waters. “The design is just spectacular. The bucket was made to look like a pineapple, with an orange slice and an umbrella. It’s bright and vivid, and it’s got depth and character. It’s an incredible piece.”

Project Result:
The new theme resulted not only in renewed excitement in the park, but also in less maintenance. A perfect PurePlay combination.

"The pineapple-themed dumping bucket is an incredible piece. I don’t think there’s another one that matches it. It’s been the talk of the town."
